Casinos in Nevada

Nevada is home to 441 casinos, so you should not have any worries about finding one near where you are! Nevada is known as the Silver State, owing to the importance of silver in establishing the state’s economy. Today it generates a lot of revenue in chips instead.

Obviously Las Vegas takes the crown as the ultimate casino destination. You’ll find that the city deserves it’s nickname of “America’s Playground” where almost anything goes (especially if you have a huge bankroll). However, outside of Sin City you’ll find great casino venues in Reno, Laughlin, Paradise, Mesquite, Winchester, Indian Springs and Henderson to name just a few.  We’ve taken a closer look at a few of the top rated casinos around the Sagebrush State to help you find a gaming option near you! Las Vegas

Fremont Hotel and Casino

Fremont Casino located in Fremont street is the classic casino venue. Featuring a great mix of over 1000 modern and classic slot machines including Buffalo Max and Double Jackpot Triple Blazing Sevens. Minimum bets start at just 1cent. There are 24 table games to choose from including blackjack, roulette, poker and craps.  Dine at one of several restaurants and bars including Filament, Second Street Grill and Lanai Express. The Fremont casino has a special atmosphere that is quite different from the newer, more stylish casinos on the strip. The air is thick with excitement and the gaming floor has a more gutsy Vegas buffed gold feel to it. Stepping outside you’ll get the thrills of Fremont street with live street performances and a non stop party atmosphere.

Venetian Hotel Casino

Venetian Hotel is our favorite hotel to stay in whilst in Vegas. The venue evokes Renaissance Italy and features two gaming floors – The Venetian and The Palazzo, featuring over 1,000 and 900 slot games respectively. Plus there’s a High Limit Slot Salon that includes games allowing up to an eye watering $5,000 per spin. For those of us mere mortals with a modest budget there’s plenty to keep you entertained. Cocktail lounge, The Palazzo Theatre, and pool deck to relax on. The Venetian also features a state of the art Race and Sports Book with HD TV and over 118 betting stations. The most famous feature of the Venetian Hotel Casino is the gondola rides in the canals running through the resort.  There’s also the superb Grand Canal shopping area. Even if you don’t ride the Gondola, you can’t help but marvel at the hand painted sky ceiling and artificial Venice scenescape.  The Venetian really embodies that Vegas wow factor that says anything is possible!

Wynn Las Vegas Casino

When Steve Wynn oversaw construction of the Mirage, Golden Nugget, Treasure Island and Bellagio it marked a turning point in the level of investment poured into the city, bringing style and entertainment to new levels. At this time, Atlantic City was a major contender, but Vegas left it in the dust with its construction of themed casino resorts focusing on family entertainment. Wynn Las Vegas is his flagship casino, offering 5 star luxury and opulence. And wow, what a casino!  There are High Limit private salons, play blackjack and craps at poolside gaming, and a huge range of tables games and slots to enjoy. Visitors can dine at Lakeside (the restaurant over looks it’s own Lake of Dreams), Mizumi, SW Steakhouse, and many, many more. Five star spas and 18 hole championship golf course are available too. Overall Wynn Las Vegas is truly a beautiful looking hotel casino, especially by the Koi Pond.

Reno

Peppermill Casino

Peppermill Casino ranks highly in customer reviews. This huge complex started from humble beginnings as the Peppermill Coffee Shop and Lounge in 1971, then in collaboration with the Seeno family, the venue expanded into gaming. Over time more venues opened around the state now at 6 high quality gaming and dining venues. Play a wide range of table poker games including three card poker, four card poker, let it ride, pai gow, baccarat, keno, and of course, craps, blackjack and roulette. High limit tables are also available to discerning players. There’s over 700 video poker games to play so video poker fans will be in their element! There’s also 1700 slot machines including top titles such as Dragon Link, Willie Nelson, Shark Week and Buffalo Gold Revolution. Regular promotions, tournaments and sweepstakes keep it fun and fresh.
