Cluster Pays: The formation of a cluster results in a winning combination. A combination of at least 4 horizontally or vertically adjacent symbols is a cluster in this slot. If symbols don’t have adjoining boundaries horizontally or vertically and are diagonally adjacent, then it can’t be termed as a cluster.

Merge Up: Some of the symbols in a cluster disappear from the reels after a winning combination is paid. The remaining become symbols of the next level. In this game, the number of levels of the symbols can go up to 9. The number and level of the merging symbols are determined by the win amount.

New Symbols: The number of symbols that form a cluster determines the number of new symbols resulting from the cluster merge. A cluster of 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, or 12+ symbols forms 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 new symbols respectively.

Scatter: The Scatter in this slot is a symbol of the 9th level and can land on any position. You’ll need at least 4 Scatter symbols to activate the Free Spins round. A Scatter can also land on the reels when a cluster of the symbols of the highest 8th level is formed. In such a situation, the win is paid and the cluster forms a Scatter.

Free Spins: Upon landing 4 or more Scatter symbols on the reels, you’ll trigger the Free Spins round. When this is done, you’ll receive 15 free spins. If you land 5 Scatters, you’ll be awarded 18 free spins. You’ll get 20 free spins if you manage to land 6 or more Scatter symbols. 

The cells where a winning cluster is formed will be marked in the Free Spins feature. If a marked cell is a part of a winning cluster once again, it gets the x2 multiplier. A marked cell’s multiplier increases by x2 with every new win in this manner. A multiplier applies to a winning combination it is a part of. 

However, the multiplier that has been newly obtained will be applied to the next winning combination it participates in. A cell can have a maximum multiplier of up to x128. Until the end of the Free Spins round, the cells will remain marked. 

The Free Spins feature will be re-triggered if 4 or more Scatter symbols land on the reels in a single spin during the Free Spins round. In this case, you’ll be awarded 5, 8, or 10 free spins for 4, 5, or 6+ Scatter symbols.

Buy Bonus: You can enter the Free Spins round straightaway with the help of this feature. This is done by purchasing the bonus feature through Bonus Buy. The cost will depend on the bet you’ve chosen. After your purchase, the next spin will activate the Free Spins round. If you have the Chance x2 feature active, Bonus Buy will be disabled.

Chance x2: You can also purchase the Chance x2 feature in Merge Up. This bonus feature will increase the amount of your bet slightly and give you more opportunities to trigger the Free Spins round. If the Buy Bonus feature is active, Chance x2 will be disabled.

Merge Up is themed on gemstones and these precious stones are featured on the slot’s grid. You’ll see gemstones of varying colors and shapes on the reels as soon as you enter the game. The light-green backdrop of the grid seems more like a close-up of a gemstone that has been cut beautifully.

Symbols / Payouts Merge Up

A rainbow-colored gem with an ‘S’ at its center is the Scatter in this slot. The low-paying symbols in the game are the gemstones of Orange, Green, Pink, and Blue colors. If you land 4 to more than 12 of the same kind, they’ll pay you in the range of 0.06x to 12.00x the amount of your bet. 

The high-paying symbols are the gemstones of Yellow, Turquoise, Red, and Violet colors. Upon landing 4 to more than 12 of the same kind, you’ll receive between 0.30x and 30.00x the bet amount.

Game tips / tricks Merge Up

As soon as you enter the game, you’ll come across the Bonus Buy and Chance x2 buttons below the Merge Up logo. Click on these buttons if you want to purchase the bonus features. On the top-right corner of the screen, you’ll see a small Speaker icon. By clicking on it, you can mute the audio of the game. 

On the bottom-right corner of the screen is the big Spin button. You can click on it and spin the reels once. If you don’t want to keep clicking on this button constantly to spin the reels, click on the Autospin Settings button to its left.
